This course is for any K-12 math teacher that wants to understand the basis of number sense and how to build opportunities for sense making into their classroom. The foundation of number sense is applicable to all levels, and participants will then be able to take the core ideas to apply to their specific content area.

Developing a Growth Mindset Classroom is for anyone who teaches or helps students learn at any level. The course explores research ideas on learning and student mindsets that can transform students' learning experiences. Participants will learn practical classroom strategies and ideas to foster a growth mindset in their students.

This course is for K-12 math teachers. Explore the new research ideas on mathematics learning and student mindsets that can transform students' experiences with math. Based on the work of Jo Boaler, Carol Dweck, Ron Ritchhart, Cathy Humphries among others, this course was created to give you practical strategies you can implement to make a difference in your classroom tomorrow.

This course is for K-12 educators who have previously taken my “Developing a Growth Mindset Classroom” course. This course guides participants through weekly challenges and supports educators as they work to implement the principles of Growth Mindset in their classrooms. The course will meet live for one hour a week for six weeks over zoom. The other allotted hour a week is to read, respond, plan for the weekly challenge.

Take your current math lessons and make them multisensory to help students build stronger connections to the content. This course will go through principles and strategies to aid student understanding through manipulatives, gross motor activities, and how to reinforce and build strong foundational skills.

Connect with colleagues and work through monthly challenges to incorporate mathematical best practices in your classroom. Have the accountability and support to implement positive change in your instruction. This course is responsive to the needs of the group. Monthly challenges will be based on group needs and desires.

This workshop goes through big core ideas in math that are critical to a strong foundation. If you are tasked with filling in gaps in mathematical knowledge, this workshop will help you plan your instruction, modify materials, and develop interventions that build critical foundational understandings.

This workshop will explore research on learning and mindsets that have the power to transform students’ learning experiences. Walk away from this session with strategies and ideas to build a mistake-friendly culture in your own classroom.

The Supporting All Students Resource Guides were designed through collaboration between the NYSED and partners in the field. These guides were created to provide teachers with examples of scaffolds and strategies to supplement their instruction. In this workshop, we will explore these resource guides and discuss how to implement strategies and scaffold instruction to meet the needs of the students in your classroom.

This book study will help you lay a foundation to transform your teaching practice, fostering growth and learning in your students.
